Field Recordings is an innovative Paso Robles winery founded in 2007 by winemaker and vineyard nurseryman Andrew Jones. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of Central Coast vineyards, Jones seeks out overlooked sites and unusual grape varieties to create small quantities of soulful, personality-driven wine. The winery uses native yeast, minimal additives, and restrained sulfites to produce single-vineyard bottlings, skin-contact wines, pét-nats, chillable reds, and approachable blends under its Field Recordings, Wonderwall, and Fiction labels. Thacher is a small, family-owned Paso Robles winery operated by Sherman and Michelle Thacher. While its winery is located on the west side, Thacher produces highly distinctive, minimal-intervention wines from Shell Creek Vineyard, including old-vine Chenin Blanc and Valdiguié.
