The Hatch – Rotisserie & Bar

Les Petites Canailles

French sophistication meets Central Coast charm. The name means “the little rascals,” a nod to the owners’ kids. Signature: Steak frites, tarte flambée, and a “Trust Us” prix fixe menu with wine pairings that’s a local favorite. Accolades: Michelin Guide–recognized for its refined yet approachable French cuisine. 

 

Barley & Boar (Atascadero)

A boutique pub-meets-distillery with a moody, eclectic interior and a fiercely seasonal menu.

Signature: House-distilled spirits, inventive cocktails, and rotating dishes like duck confit or boar shoulder.

Fun Fact: The chefs often build the menu while wandering the farmers’ market — it’s culinary improv at its finest. 

 

Giuseppe’s Cucina Rustica (San Luis Obispo)

Rustic Italian with deep roots — born from a Cal Poly senior project and now a beloved institution.Signature: Handmade pastas, wood-fired bread, and estate-grown produce and wines from DiFronzo Farms.Setting: Housed in the historic Sinsheimer Bros. building, with old-world charm and a modern bar. And the world famous "Flatliner" is the most original "espresso martini" you will ever taste.
